"The alto breathes the music as if it was second nature". (www.arkivmusic.com)

Dominika Hirschler (*1972) is a German born singer and author.

The mezzosoprano/alto performs throughout Europe as a concert singer in a wide-ranging repertoire between Renaissance and Modernism, with strong roots in ensemble singing, an emphasis on baroque sacred literature and a great love for song and chamber music.

In her poems, short prose and essays she explores how it is possible to be both authentic and permeable in art and life.

Since 2000, she has been touring as a concert singer with renowned ensembles throughout Europe and is a guest of German radio choirs. On the other hand, she is rooted in church music in Munich, where she performs mainly as a soloist.

In a non-chronological order, she studied baroque singing, did a few semesters of Romance Studies, Cultural Studies and Regional Studies Latin America, completed an apprenticeship as a bookseller and worked as such.

With one leg in music, the other in literature, she has been based and freelance in Munich since 2000.
